Blidworth Welfare Football Club is a football club based in Blidworth, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. The club was formed in 1926 as Folk House Old Boys F.C., but changed to Blidworth Welfare F.C. in 1982. Since 2008, the club has played in the Central Midlands Supreme Division. They first entered the FA Cup in the 1993–94 season.[1]
In the 1997-98 season they lost all 28 league games, conceding 186 goals and scoring only eight. They were so bad that The FA invited them to a training session with the England national football team.[2]
The current chairman is Alan Whitworth, who has overseen a number of changes at the club. The club is now an FA Charter Standard club and there is to be a massive overhaul to the changing facilities.
The 2007–08 season saw the club start teams for Under-8s, Under-9s, Under-10s, Under-11s, Under-15s and Under-19s. There is also a Blidworth Welfare FC Sunday side.

At the start of the 2010-11 season, the club will be managed by Brett Marshall - who decided to move from rivals Kirkby. Marshall has an abundance of local league knowledge and will be joined at the club by Steve Roebuck, Tony Cook & Steve Pembleton. He is expected to oversee a whole host of changes including a completely revamped squad, as well as a good working relationship between the 1st team and the reserves - who will be managed by Liam Best.
The club will also have brand new, state-of-the-art facilities come Spring, once the changing rooms have been erected. Numerous sponsors have also been announced for the coming season, and the new era will open with a pre-season friendly vs. Mansfield Town on July 12th.[3]
After the recent CML meeting, Blidworth will be playing the CML Supreme - as the North/South proposal idea was scrapped.[4] That means plenty of local derby's; including Clipstone, Kirkby Town, Southwell City & Calverton.
Blidworth start the season away to Harworth CI on August 14, then travel to Southwell City a week later, where Marshall will face his old club at his old ground for the first time. In early September, Blidworth play Teversal in the first round of the FA Vase.
